Honestly, I’ve started this blog because others have told me I should:  daughters, friends and finally my sister.  Why I listened to my sister and finally did it, I have no idea.  I also like to write.  But more importantly, at the not-so-tender age of twenty I finally figured out the role that laughter can play in my life. My origin family was more serious emotional rather than funny, and I’ll get to that later.  In Bible study, I was once told that I should do stand-up comedy sermons.  I have a cousin who refers to me as The Wise One; I’m not so sure about that, but I like the way it sounds. Plus I think might have some interesting things to share.  My life is not typical, but not really extraordinary either.  I have a tendency to blurt things out, but I prefer to think of it as calling out the elephant in the room.

I’ve also lived in three very different and distinct places:  Orange Country, California; Kwajalein, The Marshall Island, Micronesia; and Canton, Connecticut.  I have a lot to say about all of them.

So hopefully the things I share will be entertaining and make you smile, maybe impart a little information and wisdom, but also indulge in the more serious business of sharing my faith in Jesus as well as my life with family and friends.  I hope you enjoy.
